    “Race to a Million”

The MPT is holding a number of fundraising events to raise enough money to bring the total funding for the MPT to £1 million before Dame Mary’s 80th Birthday next summer.

The aim of the MPT is "To help aspiring young athletes, whatever their sport or social background to realise their maximum potential by assisting them in both a financial and advisory capacity".

Badminton is a sport that has benefited from a number of awards for our players under the MPT. To this extent, it would be great if the sport of badminton could help in Marys ‘Race to a million’!

The fundraising event is “Marys Superhero Zipwire”. Trevor Woods of Alpha Badminton Club has volunteered to do the zip wire challenge over the Lagan in Belfast, on the 18th August! Ken Nixon, a member of the Ulster Badminton Council is appealing for sponsorship of any amount towards this very worthy cause. Any amount you could donate would be very much appreciated.

For further information or to donate, please contact Emma Nesbitt at the Ulster Badminton office on 02892 / 668392 or via e-mail at emmanesbitt@ulsterbadminton.com
