GDPR Information for Clubs

The General Data Protection Regulations (GDPR) were introduced on 25th May 2018 and will apply to all Ulster Badminton Clubs.

Many of the GDPR’s main concepts and principles are much the same as in the current Data Protection Act. However, there are new elements and significant enhancements, so your Badminton Club will have to do some things for the first time and some things differently to comply. Ulster Badminton have produced templates to help your Club.

Actions Required by Your Club

To comply Clubs will be required to take the following actions

  • Produce and adopt an Information Asset Register (IAR) identifying and listing the personal data held by your Badminton Club.

  • Complete and approve a Retention & Disposal Schedule for the personal data held by your Badminton Club.

  • Produce and adopt a Badminton Club Information Loss Handling Plan & Policy.

  • Add Privacy Notices to your Badminton Club documents, and produce Data Sharing Agreements with 3rd parties, where personal data is shared.
