Excel Coach Development Programme 2025

Ulster Badminton are pleased to open the application process for the Ulster Badminton Excel Coach Development Programme for 2025.  The programme is designed to support and develop Ulster based coaches across a range of areas including knowledge, skills and experiences in a shared learning environment. 

Over a period of 12 months, up to 8 participants will meet, discuss and share knowledge around our sport in relation to: 

- Developing their individual coaching book/portfolio with all elements related to badminton (tactical, technical, mental, physical, planning, pedagogy etc)
- Developing and strengthening their own coaching philosophy
- Developing an understanding of players’ requirements and optimal working methods to develop players with examples at 4 different development stages

As part of the application process, you are required to submit a 2 minute video and complete the Microsoft Form.  This information can be found in the Information Pack attached. This step has been added to the process to provide us with a better understanding of your coaching context, coaching style and your personality.
