Irish U19 National Championships

Rachael woods put in one of the best performances of the year winning 3 titles at the Irish U19 National championships. In the Girls singles it was an all Ulster final with Rachael playing fellow Emerging Performance squad player Beth Stephenson. Rachael kept up her great form from the semi finals at took the title 21-18, 21-15. In the  girls doubles Rachael partnered her sister Rebecca reaching the final comfortably were they met Orla Flynn & Alexandra Troy in the Final. It proved to be the girls toughest match but they came out on top in set tight sets, 21-17, 21-18. the mixed final was another all Ulster final with Kyle Magee & rebecca Woods coming through an extremely close semi final, 17-21, 22-20, 21-19 to reach the final. Rachael partnered Sligo player Adam McAllister and advanced to the final after a walkover in the Semi final. Adam & Rachael proved to strong for the Raphoe/Alpha pair winning 21-13, 21-8. Overall a great tournament for everyone involved
