Yonex Leinster Premier Open 2023
The Yonex Leinster Premier Open took place on 28th-29th October at Terenure Badminton Centre, Dublin, with Ulster players taking home 1 title, 2 silvers and 3 bronze medals.
Sinead Chambers took her first Provincial Senior Title in 6 years to win the Women’s Doubles with her young Ulster Partner Laura Comber against Ulster's Paige Woods and partner Michelle Shochan
Sinead followed up the gold with a silver Medal in the Mixed Doubles with partner Brian O'Mahony.
Laura Comer reached the Semi Final in the Women’s Singles and Mixed Doubles with Donegal’s Ryan Mac Beth to add 2 bronze medals to her Women’s doubles title. Tony Stephenson & Ryan Stewart lost a tight 3 setter in the Semi Final of the Men’s Doubles to achieve a Bronze.
Sinead, a 3x NI Commonwealth Games player, recently moved back to NI to take up a Physio Role with Sports Institute of Northern Ireland after her very successful spell as the Para Badminton GB Physio based in Sheffield with the England Institute of Sport.
