    U13 & U17 Irish Nationals


    The U13 & U17 Irish Nationals took place at Lisburn Racquets club on 15-16th October 2022, with multiple medals won by Ulster players.

    Raphoe's Corey Chambers had a Great U13 tournament winning the Boys Singles & Boys Doubles & runner up in the Mixed Doubles with Hanna Shochan. Alpha's Conor Blakeman also had a strong tournament partnering Corey to win the Boys Doubles, a silver in the boys singles after a 3 set battle with Corey in the final and a bronze in the Mixed doubles with Carol Joy.

    Alpha's Paige Woods took home 3 medals, winning the mixed Doubles U17 title with partner Dylan Noble & picked up 2 bronze medals in the Girls Singles and Girls Doubles. Alpha's Rosin McKenna won a Silver in the Girls Doubles with partner Chloe McGrane, as did the Alpha/Raphoe partnership of Christopher Chee and Callum Laird in the Boys Doubles losing out in the final in 3 sets. Christopher added a bronze medal in the Boys singles losing out to the 2nd seed in the Semi Final. Rory Comer had a very solid tournament winning 2 bronze medals, in the Boys Singles, losing out to eventual winner Dylan noble and in the boys doubles partnering Karl McLoughlin.

    Well done to all the players competing and for Badminton Ireland for hosting a great event.
