Covid-19 Restrictions - Update
Following on from the recent announcements from the NI Executive and the subsequent easing of restriction from the 30th April, Ulster Badminton have sought clarity from the Department of Communities & Sport NI on aspects of the new Regulations and how it impacts Badminton.
Today we received clarity on the new Regulations which has resulted in a slight change for Badminton Activity in Northern Ireland.
- All badminton activity including Clubs, Leagues & Performance Squad training is suspended, excluding Elite Level & 1-1 Individual Coaching sessions.
- Individual coaching sessions can take place in an indoor setting, not from the same household, provided the participants do not come in to contact, follow facility guidelines & the Return to Badminton Guidelines. A coach must hold a BWF Shuttle Time or BWF Coaching Qualification.
Ulster Badminton will continue to monitor and review the situation on an ongoing basis and will communicate additional updates as they arise.
