    Parents in Sport Week!

We are supporting Parents in Sport week with the NSPCC Northern Ireland.

This year our Parents in Sport Week 2019 is from the 7th – 13th Oct. Child Protection in Sport Unit aims to  work with sports governing bodies to improve a young person’s experience of sport. One way we can do this is by ensuring parents have the information they need to support their child’s involvement in sport. During Parents in Sport Week we are encouraging parents to make the Sports Parents Promise to their child to ensure they have a safe and enjoyable experience whilst taking part in sport.

If you are a parent of a young person who plays sport we encourage you to Make your Promise and print off the Sports Parent Promise certificate. You can post your picture on social media to spread the word and show your support using the hashtag #SportsParents

You can read more about the Child Protection in Sport Unit and Parents in Sport Week on their website or view the Keeping Children Safe in Sport parent leaflet https://thecpsu.org.uk/media/445772/final-nspcc-ireland-keeping-children-safe-in-sports-booklet-ni_v2-3.pdf
